Screen refresh

We have so many updates on previous posts that we thought we would do a screen refresh. So here we go ….

Money Money Money …. Well all we can say is “de manager musta get bogged down”. We have had no word about the approval of the pre-approved bank account so we are no further forward with that, far less inviting each other to make a joint account. We have had to pay the cleaner and gardener with cash … not that they were complaining. We drove past bank 2 yesterday … a rude gesture was made.

Key day …. We have sorted through the Yorkshire shortbread tin stuffed with a multitude of rusty keys and illegible plastic labels .. yuk. We have made headway in what fits what lock. WD-40 has been our best friend, we have drenched every key, lock and bolt and things are running much more smoothly. Yesterday we popped into the tourist chattel village in Holetown and purchased some lovely new key rings as an anniversary present to each other 🤣.

Bin day …. It has not moved!!! Brian the gardener says the truck does come down our access road but can we risk that? …. There has been no one here for ages they may not bother. Our neighbour’s bins are stuffed … we decide to leave it there. Watchful waiting.

Gardeners’ World … a large group of monkeys visited us yesterday and feasted on the hog plum tree just opposite the patio. The clambering, swinging, feasting and general tomfoolery has resulted in an avalanche of hog plums … no one would believe that I spent so much time raking them up. I’m busy researching a chutney recipe … I hope Donation Nation has jam jars.

Little wins big wins… I have potted up our desert rose with some of its distant relatives for company, they are looking very happy.
