Pigs in the proverbial

It’s a day off, nevertheless we started the day, not with a lie in, but a job. “We better get one of the pricey but only remaining showers on the island before they all sell out”. So we were knocking on the tile shop’s door at opening time. Result, they had kept it aside for us and there was a Bebb high five as we drove off, with the precious chrome shower in the boot. Next stop, “let’s go out for breakfast” We know the perfect stop, just opposite the Yacht club, and we can drop off our completed membership application form on the way.

Oh well, never mind, we turn up to a very much shuttered down Sage cafe. It’s that time of year. Out of season, many places shut for refurbishment or staff holidays. The yacht club was also a false start, there was no one there to receive our application form. Onwards to Surfers Cafe. It’s one of our favourites. I’ve already chosen from the menu, in my minds eye. Eggs Bene with avocado. Yum.

Sorry she says “no avocado” …… it’s avocado season I say, they are everywhere. Well apparently there is a supplier problem. Bacon it is then. Ho hum. No real hardship.

Home. It’s definitely feet up time. We deserve it. I definitely need it, my trotters are decidedly unkempt.

Trotters seen to, it’s time for a rum punch in the pool. The wedding caterers have given us a sample… don’t mind if I do…. Hmmmm ….too sweet, Mikes rum punch is way better.

As for the rest of the day, kick back, relax. Sausages are on the menu.

Tomorrow we will really wallow in it. NO JOBS!!!!
