Control, create and celebrate

14th January 2025

Once again the BBQ is lit and we sit here to reflect on another working day. Quite rightly the VIPs have been out exploring and have arrived home safely. We await their reports on scuba diving, garden visits and an early morning swim with the race horses. I never knew this was a thing but apparently race horses really benefit from the swim, as a type of physio. The grooms take their horses down to the sea most mornings …. They love it.

Our day has been pretty full on. We have entertained two roofers to quote for various leaky issues, so we await that report. The pest control team came to give us the once over … quite a few centipedes have been popping out of their lairs so a visit was much appreciated, control the pests we hope. . . .

I’ve been creative. Finally I have managed to sort my paints and find some semblance of order to think about a makery corner. At the moment I’m being inspired by drift wood. The VIPs have been very enthusiastic and I now have an inspired collection of beach treasure. Today I have finished the first occupant of my wall aquarium..

The day also brought a great reason to celebrate. At 4.30pm we downed tools …… like we did in the Autumn AND we went for a swim. Winnie is well, looking beautiful and it was amazing to walk in together celebrating what we had achieved.
