Well mostly looking and lurking. I have not bought or sold anything YET. I’ve signed up to all manner of groups on FB. You would not believe the amount available. Bajan antiques, Buy and sell Barbados, Barbados marketplace etc. Some you have to join with a reason and some are a free for all. As you know we are looking for a fridge, there is a paucity of fridges on offer …. We have been looking. Now the car has been found I can unsign myself from “Bajan cars for sale marketplace”. We also need furniture, particularly garden furniture. I’ve been watching a particular outside patio table. It was originally listed for $699. Bit steep for an 8 seater second hand wicker table … slowly the price went down $625, then $550. I know it’s the same one because I can see the same nice bit a bush behind it, and the grass slowly growing underneath it. The lowest ebb was $425 … I was just considering an offer and today it is back at $700bbd …. Ah well I did not really like it anyway.
We have at least one too many sofas that are not to our taste and one in particular seems to be a good option for me to dip my toe in the selling market. It’s a two seater sofa with a single integral pullout sofa bed. It’s pretty hideous but comfy and someone might like it. So I start some research… what’s the competition, what price shall I sell it for and is it actually worth the bother? There’s a few listed but one attracts my attention… actually a three seater … it’s hard to tell the original colour because the photos only show it covered in a pink throw, just chucked over it mind … not even tucked in or neatly strewn. There is half an arm showing in a beige patterned fabric. The description however says it all “need fix up and sponge” $300. Hmmmm maybe it is worth selling ours after all. It will contribute towards the table. On the other hard I might join the “fix it up crowd” and buy some of this “covers rust” paint for our current patio table.
I’m distracted by a dress … I share it with Richard …. Only available in small and medium… don’t think it would suit me anyway. He disagrees. 🤣
Come on I tell myself concentrate. Stop getting distracted by high fashion. Nope no fridges … I’ll come back to it.
I’ll list the sofa. Buyer must collect … it won’t fit in the small hire car. $200. Let’s see what happens
